Successful graduates of this course are eligible for CEF reimbursement of 80% of tuition fee subject to a maximum of HK$10,000.

(Students must meet the attendance rate of 80% or above and satisfy the academic requirements prescribed by the faculty in order to be awarded the Diploma of Graduation. Outstanding graduates can be offered assistance in job placement in HKFA affiliated production companies.)

The course is designed for those who aim to work as scriptwriters in the film and TV industries. It covers all aspects like writing skills, creative thinking, developing conflicts, dramatic elements and characterization etc.

1. Script Structure: Theme, Subject and Content.

2. Concept Actualization.

3. Story Structure, Script material and research.

4. Plot and Sub-plots Development.

5. Plot and Sub-plots Relationship.

6. Dramatic Elements: Cause and Consequence, Conflicts, Coincidence and     Twist.

7. Scenes Breakdown: Skills and Techniques.

8. Psychology of Characters.

9. Dialogue: Writing skills.

10. Relationship between Dialogues and Images.

11. Influence of Situational Scenarios on Film.

12. Inter-relationship between Images within the Script.

13. Building up Dramatic Conflicts and Tension.

14. Balance between Artistic Creativity and Commercial Factors.

15. Skills and Channels of Selling Ideas and Scripts.
